Along with competitons to test the strength and skill of the participants, an array of entertainers will gather to perform during the two days, read below to learn who will be there to keep your toes tapping and spirits soaring.

Scrievit
Scrievit is a three piece acoustic ensemble that deftly balances on the line between traditional and contemporary folk music. Featuring Christine Storey on fiddle and vocals; Ed Nicol on guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and vocals and Scott Henderson on border pipes, highland pipes, flute and whistles; the band combines their collective musical backgrounds to produce a sound that cuts across musical traditions.

From rhythmic and driving instrumental sets to traditional and original songs, Scrievit performs with a tightness, skill and sensitivity that only comes with experience. Having played music together for over ten years, the band members have shared the stage with the likes of Natalie McMaster, The Barra MacNeils, Rawlins Cross and The Old Blind Dogs and have played folk venues across Canada and the United States including the Home County Folk Festival in London, the Big Pond Festival in Cape Breton and Hugh's Room in Toronto.

Toby Kinsella
Toby Kinsella is a multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years experience as a performer. He plays instruments from around the world, tells stories, sings songs, and delights children with his show Musical Stories. Juggling, puppets, and masks are also used to add visual effects to this very exciting interactive show.
Formerly of the group Barde (1974-1983), he has been active in children’s music since 1974. Now back in Ireland, and concentrating on the Interactive Music Education Programme he developed in North America.

Toby has a special rapport with younger children, and with them he explores the music and rhythms of many lands. Using Storytelling and Puppets he covers many diverse musical styles. His young audience gets actively involved in making music, and they absorb a wealth of information about the essence of music, sound, culture, rhythms, instruments and performance. It is a lot of fun.

Bob Finlay and the Caledonians
Back by popular demand! A native of Glasgow, Bob Finlay has been entertaining with the Caledonians in Canada, the U.S., and Scotland for over 25 years. The Caledonians showcase an excellent repertoire of Scottish music- new and old. Featuring Bob Finlay's vocals, and Dr. Wayne Carroll on the Hammond organ.

Sarnia School of Irish Dance
The Sarnia School of Irish Dance is celebrating its 10th anniversary in April of this year. The School has classes for both adults and children, with about 25 children and 15 adult pupils. Pupils dance at many local community events as well as local senior residences; the main event of the school year is the annual show at the Imperial Theatre, held in late spring (this year's show is scheduled for June 9th). The event showcases a variety of Celtic performances, as the school invites others such as Scottish dancers, musicians and singers to join us.  The show is very popular and performs to a full house year after year.

The Sarnia dance instructor, Anita DePooter, a champion dancer originally from Ireland, retains the traditional costume and dance form in the school; the costumes are decorated by hand embroidered designs and the dance is graceful and intricate.

Classes are held every Saturday afternoon between September and June; for further information, contact M.Ring at 519-336-985
